Here on the Irish Traditional page, I have listed five of the many different Irish Traditional bands, groups, and singers that come from the province of Newfoundland. I have given a brief describe of each and also supply a link to their official website or a site with additional information about the band, group or singer. BRISTOL'S HOPE  

The band Bristol's Hope was assembled in 1997 for the Cabot 500 celebrations. Bristol's Hope was an "All-Star Band" consisting of four men and one woman. These "All-Star Members" were:

Baxter Wareham - Vocals and Accordion
Anita best - Vocals
Kelly Russell - Fibble, Bouzouki, Concertina, and Bodhran
Derek Pelley - Electric Bass
Sandy Morris - Guitar

HARRY HIBBS

Harry Hibbs is of the most famous and Newfoundland's favorite son; he began his career in 1968 at the "Caribou Club" in Toronto. Harry Hibbs has recorded ten different albums and several of them going gold records. One of his most known songs he sings is "We'll Rant and We'll Roar Like True Newfoundlanders".

KILKENNY KREW

The Kilkenny Krew is a four-member group that formed in the late 1990's in St. John's, Newfoundland. The four members of the group are:

Blaine Lambe - Lead Vocal and Guitar
Reg Edwards - Bass
Kurt Bambury - Drummer
Al Samms - Accordion, Bazouki and Lead Vocals

RAY WALSH FAMILY

The Ray Walsh Band is a five-member band from Newfoundland. The four members of the band are:

Ray Walsh - Fibble
Michelle Walsh/Carew - Vocals
Gerg Walsh - Fibble, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Accordion
Gerard Walsh - Guitar, Button Accordion and Piano
Neil Hyde - Bass

SHANNRYGANOCK

Shanneyganock is a four-member band formed in 1997 by Chris Andrews and Mark Hiscock. The four members of the band are as follows:

Chris Andrews - Guitar and Mandolin
Mark Hiscock - Bouzouki, Accordion, Banjo and Mandolin
Bob Hiscock - Drummer
Bob Pike - Fretless Bass

The band Shanneyganock, since 1997 has two albums behind them, they are "The Long Haul" and "Shanneyganock Live". Two of the Songs that you may have heard before are:
